Banana with caramelised vermicelli

 

        

Banana with caramelised vermicelli
Serves: 6
Preparation time: 20 - 30 min
List of ingredients: 
  • 250 g PANZANI Vermicelli
  • 12 bananas
  • Custard
  • 3 vanilla pods
  • 1 litre milk
  • 75 g butter
  • 250 g brown sugar

  1. Heat the milk with halved and scraped vanilla pods and 100 g sugar. Cook the Vermicelli pasta in it over a gentle heat for 5 minutes. Pour this preparation into a gratin dish.
  2. Melt the butter in a frying pan and add in 50 g sugar. Add the whole bananas when the mixture becomes brown and turn them over carefully. Caramelise them for 2 minutes on each side over a medium heat.
  3. Arrange them on the Vermicelli, sprinkle with sugar and grill them until golden brown.
  4. Meanwhile, melt 100 g sugar in a sauté pan with half a glass of water. Add in a handful of Vermicelli to caramelise it. Arrange them in small bunches on each banana.
